Woman: From Family’s Lamp to Society’s Light” — Dinesh Hegde at Matrusangama, Sadhana.

Bengaluru, Jan 11: To inspire and guide the parents of ‘Saadhana’ students – who are pursuing their PU studies with the dream of becoming doctors – a 2-day ‘Matru Sangama’ program was organized at the Saadhana Campus in Thanisandra. The event featured a spiritual Rathotsava accompanied by Bhajans, and a Gayatri Homa marking the conclusion of the students’ ‘Koti Gayatri Japa’ (one crore chants). The gathering included an insightful session with the General Secretary of Rashtrotthana Parishat, Sri N Dinesh Hegde, along with educational workshops, games, and a blood donation camp. The program concluded with a traditional sumptuous meal.

Providing information about a new project of the Parishath, Shri Na. Dinesh Hegde stated that a free PU Integrated College is being started in Dharwad, that the building is currently under construction, and that education there will also be entirely free — so those who are unable to secure admission in Sadhana can study there. He further mentioned that Rashtrotthana Parishath has 20 CBSE schools, all of which are in need of good teachers, and that this initiative will also help address the shortage of teachers.

Rashtrotthana is a public service organisation — one that is run by the public, for the public. Mothers play a very large role in nation-building, and if one learns good values here, incorporates them into one’s own life, and shares them with others, that itself becomes service to the nation. To save the country, one need not go to war — instead, one must remain alert and aware of what is happening in the country. It is not in the nature of Hindus to be aggressive, but equally, it is not right to silently endure injustice. India today is not bowing to pressure. It will not stand with its head down. For that to continue, the people must remain awakened. If the body is strong, disease will not come — and for that, exercise, good conduct, and right thinking are necessary. He gave the good counsel that keeping the mind pure, free from negative thoughts, and the body healthy and disease-free is the foremost duty we must perform for our country.

In our society, a mother who upholds the honour of the family holds a special place. If we firmly hold on to our home, our family, and our culture and traditions without letting go, no one can do anything to us. Mothers play a great role in changing the direction of this country. When women’s power is strong, the nation becomes strong. One must keep the family in good order and bring positive change within it. The women of our country are known for the great quality of hospitality. He said that Hindu culture must be preserved.

Speaking about what he personally witnessed of women’s strength during the Emergency period, he called upon all to witness once again the glory of Bharat Mata. Jijabai narrated the stories of the Ramayana and Mahabharata to Shivaji; Vivekananda’s mother told him the stories of the Ramayana. It is said that when Vivekananda told his father Narendranath that he would become a Tonga driver, his father became angry — but his mother Bhuvaneshwari Devi told him, “Become one who drives the chariot of Dharma, like Krishna.” And that is indeed what Vivekananda became.

He gave the counsel that mothers should tell their children stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata at bedtime. The Japanese people, after the bomb attack, refused the rice offered by America and grew their own food. When America did not provide accommodation to their citizens, they dragged American nationals living in Japan out onto the streets. That is Japanese self-respect, and he said that we too must become self-respecting in the same manner.

ಪರಿಷತ್‍ನ ಹೊಸದೊಂದು ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾ. ದಿನೇಶ್‌ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆಯವರು ಧಾರವಾಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಪಿಯು ಇಂಟಗ್ರೇಟೆಡ್‌ ಕಾಲೇಜನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಕಟ್ಟಡವು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಉಚಿತವಿದ್ದು ಸಾಧನಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಪಡೆಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಬಹುದು ಎಂದರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್‌ನ 20 ಸಿಬಿಎಸ್‌ಸಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿದ್ದು, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಕೊರತೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೀಗಿಸಿದಂತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನವು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತೆಯರ ಪಾತ್ರ ಬಹು ದೊಡ್ಡದಿದ್ದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅದೇ ದೇಶಸೇವೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ದೇಶದ ಆಗುಹೋಗುಗಳ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಸ್ವಭಾವ ಕೊಚ್ಚುವುದಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಗೆಂದು ಪೆಟ್ಟು ತಿಂದು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಕೂರುವುದು ಕೂಡ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಭಾರತ ಇಂದು ಒತ್ತಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬಗ್ಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ತಲೆ ಬಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಲ್ಲ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನ ಜಾಗೃತರಾಗಬೇಕು. ದೇಹ ಸಶಕ್ತವಿದ್ದರೆ ರೋಗ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮ ಆಚಾರ ವಿಚಾರ ಬೇಕು. ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸದೇ ವಿಚಾರ ಶುದ್ಧತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ, ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ರಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಸಾಕು ಅದೇ ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಮೊದಲ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಹಿತ ನುಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮನೆತನದ ಗೌರವ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸ್ಥಾನವಿದೆ. ಮನೆಯನ್ನು, ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು, ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ ಬಿಡದೇ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾರರು. ಈ ದೇಶದ ದಿಕ್ಕು ಬದಲಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಂದಿರ ಪಾತ್ರ ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ನಾರೀಶಕ್ತಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾದರೆ ದೇಶ ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ತರಬೇಕು. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅತಿಥಿ ಸತ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಣದವರು. ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾರೀಶಕ್ತಿ ಏನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಾನು ನೋಡಿದ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ ಭಾರತ ಮಾತೆಯ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೋಡೋಣ ಎಂದರು. ಶಿವಾಜಿಗೆ ಜೀಜಾಬಾಯಿ ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಮಹಾಭಾರತದ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಳು, ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು. ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ನರೇಂದ್ರನಾಥರ ಬಳಿ ತಾನು ಜಟಕಾಬಂಡಿ ಹೊಡೆಯುವವನಾಗುವೆ ಎಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡರೆ, ತಾಯಿ ಭುವನೇಶ್ವರಿದೇವಿ ನೀನು ಕೃಷ್ಣನಂತೆ ಧರ್ಮದ ರಥ ಓಡಿಸುವವನಾಗು ಎಂದಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಮುಂದೆ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ಅದೇ ಆದರು.

ತಾಯಂದಿರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮಲಗುವಾಗ ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಮಹಾಭಾರತದ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಹಿತನುಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಜಪಾನಿನ ಜನ ಬಾಂಬ್‌ ದಾಳಿಯ ನಂತರ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ನೀಡಲು ಬಂದ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ತಾವೇ ಬೆಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರು, ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅಮೇರಿಕಾ ರೂಂ ನೀಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೀದಿಗೆ ಎಳತಂದು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಅದು ಜಪಾನಿನ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನ, ನಾವು ಅವರಂತೆ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳಾಗಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಜೊತೆ ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ನಮಗೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ವಾತಾವರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶಿಸ್ತು ಕಲಿತದ್ದು ನಮಗೆ ಖುಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಮಗೂ ಕಲಿಸಿದ್ದು ಅದನ್ನು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ. – ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸವಿತಾ, ಆನೇಕಲ್‌
