Bengaluru, Mar 29: The Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hurulichikanahalli CBSE School was inaugurated at Shabari Nagar. The event was held in the divine presence of Revered Swami Veereshananda Saraswati, President of the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama, Tumakur and in the attendance of Sri N Tippeswamy, Kshetra Karyavaha of the RSS South-Central Zone. This marks the 18th School in the RVK Group and it is set to commence Academic Activities this coming June.

Bengaluru, March 29: The Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra (RVK) – Hurulichikkanahalli CBSE School was officially inaugurated in Shabarinagar.

The event took place in the divine presence of Poojya Swami Veereshananda Saraswathi, President of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram, Tumakuru, and in the esteemed presence of Shri Na. Thippeswamy, Karyavaha of the RSS South-Central Zone. This marks the 18th school of the RVK Group, and it is set to commence its academic activities this coming June.

Insights from Poojya Swami Veereshananda Saraswathi

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Veereshananda Saraswathi shared insights from his travels abroad, noting that a country rich in common sense prospers rapidly. He offered a profound analogy regarding the application of knowledge:

“A ladle is used to stir all kinds of dishes, yet it never actually tastes the food. Similarly, if we do not put good thoughts into practice, if we fail to be perceptive, and if we cannot discriminate between good and bad, our knowledge serves no real purpose.”

Education vs. Literacy

• The Essence of Education: True education teaches us what to do and what not to do. An ant, when presented with a mix of sand and sugar, instinctively picks only the sugar. Today, however, distinguishing between good and bad has become increasingly difficult.

• The Sanatana Definition: Sanatana culture defines education as the learning process that rescues an individual from the darkness of ignorance. Education must build character, expand intellectual capacity, and foster a self-respecting, self-reliant life.

• The Inner Potential: There is a perfect being inherent within everyone, and we must discover that inner self. God has created us with a purpose. As our elders wisely noted: “Be like honeybees, not like filth-flies.”

• The Four Quarters of Learning: True learning is a lifelong process acquired from four distinct sources:

  1. One-quarter from teachers

  2. One-quarter through self-effort

  3. One-quarter from friends

  4. One-quarter from inner awareness

He concluded by stating that parents must teach their children that it is better to lose on the path of justice than to win through unfair means. Shri Na. Thippeswamy highlighted that modern schooling relies heavily on marks, whereas what is truly required is value-based education (Samskara).

• Parental Peace of Mind: Parents can remain stress-free when they enroll their children in institutions like this. Building a great nation depends entirely on molding virtuous individuals; without them, the country has no future.

• Centers of Transformation: Both schools and homes serve as hubs for social transformation. Rather than outright banning mobile phones, we must teach children the wisdom of how to use them responsibly.

• Collective Responsibility: To bring forth outstanding individuals, values must be taught consistently across homes, temples, mosques, and schools. Challenges must be faced collectively. He wished for the school to become a powerhouse of energy for the region.

Perspectives from the Leadership

• Shri Na. Dinesh Hegde (General Secretary, Rashtrotthana Parishat): “While we may not be able to completely change Macaulay’s education system, we absolutely can infuse Indianness into education. These schools have been established with a firm resolve to pass down the rich knowledge tradition of our land to the next generation.” He also introduced the various initiatives of the Parishat.

• Shri M. P. Kumar (President, Rashtrotthana Parishat): He emphasized that a school should not merely be an academic exercise but must function as a centre for culture and values. He noted that society shares a collective responsibility to help children navigate the modern challenges posed by mobile phones, social media, and AI.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಾ.29: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಹುರುಳಿಚಿಕ್ಕನಹಳ್ಳಿ CBSE ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಶಬರಿನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ತುಮಕೂರು ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಆಶ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವೀರೇಶಾನಂದ ಸರಸ್ವತಿಯವರ ದಿವ್ಯಸಾನ್ನಿಧ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮಧ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಕಾರ್ಯವಾಹರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾ ತಿಪ್ಪೇಸ್ವಾಮಿಯವರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿತ್ತು. RVK ಸಮೂಹದ 18ನೇ ಶಾಲೆ ಇದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಜೂನ್‌ನಿಂದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿಲಿದೆ.

ದಿವ್ಯಸಾನ್ನಿಧ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವೀರೇಶಾನಂದ ಸರಸ್ವತಿಯವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವ ದೇಶ ಬಹುಬೇಗ ಉದ್ಧಾರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದನ್ನು ತಾವು ವಿದೇಶ ಪ್ರವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡ ಅಂಶ. ಅಡುಗೆಗೆ ಬಳಸುವ ಸೌಟನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲದಕ್ಕೂ ಬಳಸಿದರೂ ಸೌಟಿಗೆ ಅಡುಗೆಯ ರುಚಿ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗದಂತೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ಬಳಸದೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ನಾವು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮಗ್ರಾಹಿಗಳಾಗದೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದರ ಡಿಸ್ಕ್ರಿಮಿನೇಶನ್‌ ಮಾಡುವುದು ತಿಳಿಯದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗದು ಎಂದರು.

ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷರತೆಯ ನಡುವಿನ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸದ ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳುತ್ತ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಏನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಮಾಡಬಾರದು ಎನ್ನುವುದನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇರುವೆಯು ಮರಳು, ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಎರಡರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ಕರೆಯನ್ನೇ ಕಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು, ಕೆಟ್ಟದನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವುದೇ ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕತ್ತಲುಮಯ ಅಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಪಾರುಮಾಡುವ ಕಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸನಾತನವು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಿತು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಬೇಕು, ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿಕಸಿಸಬೇಕು, ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನಿ ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬಿ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಆಂತರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣನೊಬ್ಬನಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆ ಆಂತರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ದೇವರು ಒಂದು ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಜೇನುನೊಣಗಳಾಗಿ, ತಿಪ್ಪೆನೊಣಗಳಾಗಬೇಡಿ ಎಂದರು.

ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನ್ಯಾಯದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋತರೂ ಚಿಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಅದನ್ನು ಪೋಷಕರು ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವುದನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಾಂತದ ಮೂಲಕ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.  ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಲುಭಾಗ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ, ಕಾಲುಭಾಗ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ, ಕಾಲು ಭಾಗ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಂದ, ಕಾಲುಭಾಗ ತನ್ನೊಳಗಿನ ಅರಿವಿನಿಂದ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಜೀವನಪರ್ಯಂತದ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರದಂತಹ ಶಾಲೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕರೆ ಮಾನವ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ, ದೇಶಭಕ್ತರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರಿಸುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ದೊರಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾ. ತಿಪ್ಪೆಸ್ವಾಮಿಯವರು ಇಂದಿನ ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಅಂಕಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರ್ಭರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿದರೆ ಪೋಷಕರು ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಂದ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಉತ್ತಮ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ತಯಾರಾದರೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಶಾಲೆ, ಮನೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು. ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಷೇಧ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅದರ ಬಳಕೆಯ ಬಗೆಗೆ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಬರಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಮನೆ, ಮಂದಿರ, ಮಸೀದಿ, ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ, ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿತರಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಈ ಶಾಲೆ ಈ ಭಾಗದ ಶಕ್ತಿಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್‌ನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾ. ದಿನೇಶ್‌ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆಯವರು ನಾವು ಮೆಕಾಲೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದು. ಆದರೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯತೆಯನ್ನು ತರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆ. ನಾಡಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವ ದೃಢಸಂಕಲ್ಪದಿಂದ ಶಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು.

ಪರಿಷತ್‌ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಂ. ಪಿ. ಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಅವರು ಒಂದು ಶಾಲೆ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಕ್‌ ಎಕ್ಸರ್‌ಸೈಜ್ ಆಗದೇ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಬೇಕು. ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌, ಸೋಷಿಯಲ್‌ ಮೀಡಿಯಾ, ಎಐನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುಪಡಿಸಿದ ಸಮೂಹಗೀತೆ, ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ ಅರ್ಧನಾರೀಶ್ವರ ನೃತ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ದಶಾವತಾರ ನೃತ್ಯರೂಪಕಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದವು.
