Bengaluru, July 19: Bidadi Geleyara Balaga organised a unique blood donation camp in collaboration with Rashtrotthana Blood Centre, in memory of late Shashikumar, who passed away in an accident 22 years ago. The camp was held in support of the farmers’ struggle in Bairamangala–Kanchigaranahalli, drawing inspiration from the spirit of the movement, “We will give blood, but not our land.”

A total of 275 units of blood were collected at the camp. The novel initiative, which conveyed a spirit of community service and solidarity with the farmers’ struggle, was widely appreciated.
