Sharanasirasi, May 20: A programme under the Addiction-Free Driver Campaign was organised at Rashtrotthana Vidyakendra – Kalaburagi. Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Sri Paramananda Sajjan and Sri Shakeel Angadi, Inspectors from the Kalaburagi Regional Transport Office; Sri Krishna Joshi, School Correspondent; and Sri Jayarama Nayak, Head of Rashtrotthana Transport Division, among other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Paramananda Sajjan said that this campaign should not be limited to just one school but should be conducted across all schools and colleges in Kalaburagi. He explained that adhering to traffic rules reduces accidents, and that only by maintaining a proper lifestyle can many mistakes be prevented. He educated drivers on the precautions to be taken while driving, displayed various road signs, and pointedly remarked that if we do not use these signs, we ourselves may end up as lifeless as they are.
Sri Shakeel Angadi informed the gathering that 180 ITMC cameras have been installed across the city, and that fines would be imposed on those who violate traffic rules.
Sri Jayarama Nayak said that drivers should not merely be drivers — they must be responsible, cultured, and conscientious individuals behind the wheel.

ಶ್ರೀ ಪರಮಾನಂದ ಸಜ್ಜನ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, ಈ ಅಭಿಯಾನ ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗದೇ ಕಲಬುರಗಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲ ಶಾಲಾ-ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಿದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಘಾತಗಳಾಗುವುದು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುವುದು, ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಹಲವಾರು ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಹನ ಚಾಲಕರಿಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತ ಹಲವಾರು ಚಿಹ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾವು ಅವುಗಳ ಹಾಗೇ ನಿರ್ಜೀವವಾಗಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾರ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಶ್ರೀ ಶಕೀಲ್ ಅಂಗಡಿಯವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 180 ITMC ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ನಿಯಮ ತಪ್ಪಿದವರಿಗೆ ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
