Rashtrotthana Group Inaugurates its 19th CBSE School Building in Hulimangala, Electronic City, Bengaluru

Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hulimangala (Electronic City Phase 1, Bengaluru): School Building Inauguration

Bengaluru, April 5: The inauguration of the 19th school building under the Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra CBSE School Group was held today at Hulimangala, Electronic City Phase 1. The event took place in the divine presence of Sri Muktidanandaji Maharaj, President of Ramakrishna Ashrama – Mysuru. Notable dignitaries in attendance included Sri B. L. Santhosh, BJP National General Secretary (Organization), and Sri H. S. Gopinatha Reddy and Sri H. T. Somashekara Reddy, Honorable Members of the Karnataka Legislative Council. The school is set to commence its academic activities this June.

During the event, Sri H. T. Somashekara Reddy, who donated the land for the building, along with his son Sri H. S. Gopinatha Reddy and wife Smt. Gayatri Reddy, were honored. Representatives from Mysore Consultants, who constructed the building, were also felicitated.

Address by Sri Na. Dinesh Hegde

Delivering the introductory remarks, Sri Na. Dinesh Hegde, General Secretary of Rashtrotthana Parishat, noted that the building was inaugurated within just a year of its ground-breaking ceremony (Bhoomi Pooja) last year. He shared that around 900 children have already secured admission, while the building has a total capacity of 1,200 students. He added that this project was a dream of Sri H. T. Somashekara Reddy, and the building will be expanded in the next phase to accommodate even more students.

Address by Chief Speaker Sri B. L. Santhosh

Chief Speaker Sri B. L. Santhosh remarked that we live in an era where schools are abundant, yet many are closing down.

• Defining School Credibility: He emphasized that schools should produce outstanding men and women for the nation and society. Currently, a school’s credibility is judged by its placements and percentages. However, in the Indian concept, a school’s true credibility is understood by the kind of individuals it produces.

• The ‘Sons and Daughters of the Soil’: He noted that while one section of society focuses only on daily survival and the citizen class focuses on self, home, and children, it is only the ‘Sons and Daughters of the Soil’ class that thinks about the nation and society—though their numbers are small.

• Value-Based Education: Ancient universities like Nalanda and Takshashila did not stand on placements and percentages. Chanakya producing Chandragupta was the real “percentage,” and those placements happened out of a sense of duty. Education must teach rules and secure marks, but that is not the end. Education should guide students past mere rules and towards core values and wisdom.

• Role of Parents and Teachers: Parents must not just expect marks but become partners in their children’s growth. Education should teach what to do and what not to do, and instill the habit of sharing. The home atmosphere should reflect in the school, and vice-versa. At Rashtrotthana, education turns into wisdom, and rules transform into values. No single individual “owns” Rashtrotthana; it is a social organization, and parents must become a part of this asset.

Blessing by Sri Muktidanandaji Maharaj

In his blessings, Sri Muktidanandaji Maharaj stated that Rashtrotthana educational institutions serve as role models. The country deeply needs institutions that pass down our culture, values, and heritage to the next generation.

• Character Building: Citing Swami Vivekananda, he said education is the panacea for all societal evils. To make children exemplary citizens, we need character-building education that brings out the inherent divinity and values within everyone.

• Merging Tradition with Science: He noted that despite a rich heritage of thousands of years, we still suffer from ignorance and superstition. Merging the ancient knowledge of our soil with modern science in educational research is a welcome new development, and Rashtrotthana is actively working in that direction.

• Building an Ideal Society: Students must develop a deep concern for the upliftment of the country and the creation of an ideal society. Before becoming a Vishwaguru (global leader), we must first build an ideal society here. When our knowledge transforms society and changes people’s minds for the world to see, only then can we truly become a Vishwaguru.

Prior to the formal stage program, children from Bengaluru’s Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendras performed traditional Indian cultural dances. Additionally, a “Miracle on Wheels” performance by specially-abled children captivated the audience.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾ. ದಿನೇಶ್‌ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆಯವರು ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಶಾಲಾ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಭೂಮಿಪೂಜೆ ನಡೆದು, ಈ ವರ್ಷವೇ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಸುಮಾರು 900 ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅಡ್ಮಿಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಶಾಲಾ ಕಟ್ಟಡವು 1200 ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಚ್. ಟಿ. ಸೋಮಶೇಖರ್‌ ರೆಡ್ಡಿಯವರ ಕನಸಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಡವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ. ಎಲ್.‌ ಸಂತೋಷ್‌ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ, ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ-ಪುರಷರನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಂತಿರಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಶಾಲಾ-ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ಲೇಸ್ಮೆಂಟ್, ಪರ್ಸೆಂಟೇಜ್‍ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದರ ಕ್ರೆಡಿಬಲಿಟಿ ನಿರ್ಣಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆ ಇಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಕಲಿತಿದ್ದರು ಎನ್ನುವುದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಕ್ರೆಡಿಬಲಿಟಿ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಮಾಜದ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಗ ಅಂದಂದಿನ ಜೀವನ ಮುಗಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು ಎಂದರೆ ಸಿಟಿಜನ್‌ ವರ್ಗ ತಾನು, ಮನೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ʼಸನ್‌ ಅಂಡ್ ಡಾಟರ್‌ ಆಫ್‌ ಸಾಯಿಲ್‌ʼ ವರ್ಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ದೇಶ, ಸಮಾಜ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತದೆಯಾದರೂ ಅಂತಹವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಸಣ್ಣದಿದೆ. ನಳಂದಾ, ತಕ್ಷಶಿಲಾ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳು ಪ್ಲೇಸ್ಮೆಂಟ್, ಪರ್ಸೆಂಟೇಜ್ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಚಾಣಕ್ಯ ಚಂದ್ರಗುಪ್ತನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇ ಪರ್ಸೆಂಟೇಜ್.‌ ಅವೆಲ್ಲ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯದ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆದ ಪ್ಲೇಸ್ಮೆಂಟ್-ಗಳು.

ವಿದ್ಯೆ ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು, ಅಂಕ ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕು; ಆದರೆ ಅದೇ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲ. ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯಮ, ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಎನ್ನುವುದಿದೆ. ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಬೇಕು. ಭಾರತದ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ, ವಿದ್ಯೆಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಮೌಲ್ಯ, ವಿವೇಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಪೋಷಕರು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಅಂಕ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಏಳ್ಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುದಾರರಾಗಬೇಕು. ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಾರದು ಎನ್ನುವುದರ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಶೇರ್‌ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮನೆಯ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಹೊರಗಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸದನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯೆ ವಿವೇಕವಾಗುವದನ್ನು ನಿಯಮ ಮೌಲ್ಯವಾಗುವುದನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪೋಷಕರು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಪೂರಕವಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಬೇಕು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರೂ ಓನರ್‌ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್‌ ಆರ್ಗನೈಸೇಶನ್‌. ಪೋಷಕರು ಈ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಮುಕ್ತಿದಾನಂದಜೀ ಮಹಾರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಆಶೀರ್ವಚನ ನೀಡುತ್ತ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಆದರ್ಶಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ದಾಟಿಸುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಆವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವು ಸಮಾಜದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪಿಡುಗಿಗೆ ದಿವ್ಯೌಷಧ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಆದರ್ಶಪ್ರಾಯರಾಗಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಬೇಕು. ಚಾರಿತ್ಯ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲೂ ಅಡಗಿರುವ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊರತರಬೇಕು. ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿರುವ ದೈವತ್ವದೊಡನೆ ಅನುಸಂಧಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಬೇಕು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಿಂದ ಸದ್ಗುಣ ಸಂಪನ್ನರಾಗಬೇಕು. ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವರ್ಷದ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತಿಕೆ ಇದ್ದರೂ ನಾವು ಅಜ್ಞಾನ ಮೌಢ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಸನಾತನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಆಧುನಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದೊಡನೆ ಮೇಳೈಸಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಹೊಸ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಆ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಡೆಸಿದೆ. ದೇಶ ಉದ್ಧಾರವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೂಡಬೇಕು. ಆದರ್ಶ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಲಿ ಎನ್ನುವ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಕಳಕಳಿ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಅಂತಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ವಿಶ್ವಗುರುವಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ನಾವು ಆದರ್ಶ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕು. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಜ, ಜನಮನ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆ ಆಗಬೇಕು, ಹೊರಗಿನವರು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಆಗಬೇಕು. ಅಂತಹ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದಾಗ ವಿಶ್ವಗುರುವಾಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದರು.

ಸಭಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಭಾರತ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ನೃತ್ಯಗಳ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೇ ವಿಕಲಚೇತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮಿರಾಕಲ್ ಆನ್ ವ್ಹೀಲ್ಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ನೆರೆದವರ ಕಣ್ಮನಗಳನ್ನು ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು.
